Iksan Seodong Park is a themed park based on the love story of Seodong and Seonhwa Princess. Not only can you experience the history and culture of Baekje, but the riverside deck walkway that surrounds the reservoir is filled with impressive sculptures, making it a great place to see. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, so it's a great place to enjoy a leisurely stroll.

If you're passing through Iksan and looking for a place to go, I recommend this. There are many works of art along the walking path and many sculptures related to the Baekje period, making it fun to look around.

Iksan Mahan Museum

There is a free museum. It seems to be displaying a specific theme. Please be sure to visit it. In 2024, the theme was a special exhibition of the Mahan tombs, a Bronze Age period.

A great place for a family outing with children

Iksan Seodong Park has many amenities for families, such as playgrounds and bicycle rentals, making it a great place to spend time. There are many shady rest areas so you can sit and rest if you get tired of walking, but the one near Muwangru is the one I remember most. There is a grove of trees around the pavilion. There are also many things for children to enjoy. As luck would have it, a nearby kindergarten came on a field trip while I was there.

Iksan Park boasts beautiful scenery in all four seasons

This park shows a different charm in each season. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom, creating a world of pink. In autumn, the leaves turn a variety of colors, creating a romantic atmosphere. In winter, the park is covered in white snow, creating a picturesque scene, although I don't feel like driving in the winter. I have to see it. In summer, I have to go and see the night view.

Restaurant recommendation near the park (Tofu Cafe)

There is a delicious restaurant on the way to Seodong Park. I was passing by and had lunch and was looking for a place to take a short walk and found Seodong Park right next door so I took a walk. I had the Mapo Tofu Rice Bowl and the Tofu Seafood Pancake. It's the kind of food I want to eat again. I don't like spicy food, but it was so delicious.
